Who Is Eligible?

Homeschool & Private School Students

Students who are homeschooled or attend a private school must reside within the Gresham-Barlow School District attendance boundary to be eligible for CAL's Extended Pathways enrollment option.

Charter & Online Public School Students

Students enrolled in a public charter school or online public school may reside in any school district and may be eligible to attend CAL with approval from their resident school or sponsoring school, as enrollment and funding agreements vary between public schools.

Enrollment & Availability

Extended Pathways enrollment is available at no cost to eligible students.

Because CAL first serves students from our partner school districts, Extended Pathways opportunities are limited. After district partner enrollment needs have been met, any remaining seats may be offered to eligible Extended Pathways students.

When applications exceed available seats, enrollment is determined through a public lottery in accordance with Oregon charter school law. Students not selected are placed on a waitlist and offered admission as seats become available.
